What have the Holts been up to?

We had a surprise party for Liz on Sunday. And we watched the USA team beat Canada in ice hockey. It was a great game and a great night. Happy Birthday Elisabeth! ( Dave and Ryan opened up some walls on sunday too....busy day)

Hey everybody!! What's everyone up to? The Holts have been busy with school and getting busy with fixing up the living room. I'll post some pictures soon. Sadie lost another tooth and Sara pulled out her first one all by herself. She was sooo proud of herself. She was a little disappointed the next morning when the tooth fairy seemed to have forgotten about her. Although when she looked under her pillow a little bit later the tooth fairy had been there.....it's good to see the tooth fairy got her act together :) And Abby got a haircut.....and she's not my little Abby anymore. She looks so much older! She's been practicing her reading and writing and loves sleeping on the top bunk. Sadie is learning her 50 states and long division. Sara is starting to read the Junie b. Jones chapter books so she's pretty excited about that. Ryan is doing great and is teaching guitar to one of his students (to get the student motivated in math)....And me?...well I just finished the 2009 Holt yearbook/scrapbook so I'm taking it easy. About to make a couple of growth charts to donate to the Sumpter School Auction. So what has everyone else been up to? Update me...

He got it!

Just wanted to let you guys know that Zack got the transfer! He'll be working at the Salem Costco now, so his commute will be all of 5 minutes...Check out Cody's blog where he wrote a bit more about it.

Aww they grow up so fast!!! this is a picture of Maya before she heads out to winter formal. she's not quite all dolled up since she got ready at her friends house but we snagged a few pics.

And here is Maya's dresser, it was a group effort. the stencil work was done by Maya but most of the painting was Zoe and Mom.














And to boot we started Maya's blanket. so far this is all we got but it should be done sometime soon!!!

A New Addition

The Rodriguez family added a new member to their family today. His name is JJ and he is a Chow-Corgi mix. He is so cute and mellow. He has peed and pooped outside all day and he loves cuddling with them!

Family Reunion at Camp Navuoo

Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls of all ages important news flash.

This will probably be our LAST family reunion at Camp Navuoo. The Church is selling off much of it's property and it looks like this is the last year that there will be a Camp Navuoo. I don't know about you guys but there are a lot of great memories at the camp. I guess what I am saying is please make an effort to come on down and share in the experience one last time. The reunion is July 17 and it would be great if everyone could be there. Start saving your recycling money and change. It really adds up. I can help too. I love you guys and want to share this time together.

a saturday hike...

We saw that the sun was shining, so we hurried and got in the car to make it to the Gorge. We hiked around Horsetail Falls (about 2.5 miles) and Cody did great. We got to see some cool waterfalls, cross some bridges and even try to take a drink from water sprinkling down from the rocks. We had a great time, and finished the night off with some dinner with the Rosses. We can't wait to get out there and do it again!
